The Nugget – Sparks, NV February 26th, 2011

Night two picked up right where we left off as Takin’ It As It Comes and Mission Accomplished opened the show. The energy on stage and from the sold out Celebrity Showroom crowd was amazing.

With a completely different setlist and hardly a repeat to be found, there are once again too many highlights to list. No trip to Reno could be complete without Moondawg’s Tavern, Folsom Prison Blues or an appearance from Elvis. Continuing with the blues theme, the classic I’m Ready and Sideshow Blues help close out the show before a full band version of Stoney. Fittingly, the weekend ended with everyone singing along to Lean On Me.

The Nugget – Sparks, NV February 25th, 2011

It’s always fun returning to another home away from home and this year’s trip to John Ascuaga’s was no different. Many thanks go out to all the familiar faces and The Nugget staff for making this another special weekend, as good times were had by all.

Being the first show of the year with The Taxi, the fun on stage was matched throughout the packed Celebrity Showroom from the first note of Greencastle Blues. Keep Off The Grass and Runaround Sue make first time appearances with the band, along with the first performance of I Got My Mojo Workin’. This is a very extended Nugget show and some other highlights include This Land Is Our Land, Georgia On A Fast Train and a jammed out version of Don’t It Make You Wanna Dance.

Rio Theater – Santa Cruz, CA February 18th, 2011

Santa Cruz is one of Todd’s favorite stomping grounds and they welcomed him back with open arms. There was no shortage of excitement and energy in the Rio Theater despite the ‘lack’ of booze served on a Friday night.

The Eighteen Minutes Intro and powerful greeting from the full house kicked the show off with a bang as the good vibes on and off stage continued to build. All My Life and Carla made rare appearances this week, along with local favorite tunes Beer Run and Santa Cruz. The entire house singing along to Relax Your Mind capped off a perfect show.

The encore features Can’t Complain and Ballad Of The Devil’s Backbone Tavern, which were both pleasant surprises.

And Now, A Message From Todd

January 24th,

hi buckaroos,

its record time again.
yes, im trying to slide one by you once more
dont matter how you do it
just do it like you know what your doing
like you been down the road once or twice before

that right out of a jerry jeff walker song
called “gettin by”

and its pretty timely and true for all of us here at the aimless inc
world headquaters and war room
even i, as vice president of the abrupt plan change dept.
find myself awash with opportunity
to flumox and fluster my board of trustees
as we make plans and change them.

a lot of people think its easy but its not
its alot of hard work and chaos

for instance today i have to do this.
