The Trishas had no trouble warming up this fabulous audience in Athens and the rain didn’t deter folks from filling the Melting Point and bringing the show to a rolling boil. Todd’s set opened with a relevant cover tune before Age Like Wine, Alcohol and Pills and the 18 Minute Intro.
Following crowd favorites Looking For A Job and Stuck On The Corner, the old “Keep Your Hands Off My Daughter” chant returned during Keep Off The Grass. The encore began with Relax Your Mind and soon segued into Far Away Eyes and finished with a Straight To Hell sing along.

My wife and I drove down to see the show in Athens. Todd did not disappoint. It was a great show at a great venue. I was really hoping Todd would play If Tomorrow Never Comes and tell the accompanying story….It never gets old…..but it was a great evening even without it. I can’t wait until he comes back through this region…..Columbia, SC or Charlotte, NC next time!
BTW - The Trishas were awesome as well. Made this Texas boy homesick.
